The Science Fair from the Black Lagoon (Black Lagoon Adventures, No. 4)
In the end, while he sees advantages to cloning he also sees disadvantages so he decides to go with the laugh machine basically he goes to the science fair and acts goofy and makes people laugh which works out well for him since all his classmates science projects are worse. Such as Derek who is handing out blindfolds to make himself invisible.
Jan 24, Sarah rated it liked it. I can see why my son enjoyed the series. It was silly and the illustrations were fun. It had some cleaver puns that older kids or adults would appreciate, but might confuse the education of the target audience. I kinda wish I had read the series sooner and guided my son to a different set of books. This was a fairly similar storyline, compared to the picture books we've read. The science fair scenario is one that many children encounter and the different science projects were certainly ambitious! The story was entertaining, silly and short. We enjoyed reading it together and I'm sure we'll read more, but it just didn't have the pull or drama for a typical chapter book and it lacked the colorful illustrations of the picture books. Shelves: childrens-lit-chapter-books , science-kid-and-ya-lit. This is another great installment of the Black Lagoon Series.
Like all of the others, it has an amusing storyline that young readers will enjoy while they practice reading. There is also plenty of word play and puns that make the older reader chuckle.
